Michael Gross & The Statuettes are an Indie Rock/Pop band from Salt Lake City that formed in 2008. Michael Gross (formerly a singer/songwriter/ guitar player for the band The Brobecks) recorded a solo album in the spring of 2008 entitled “Tales From a Country Home”. Shortly after, Michael formed a real life band around this project. The Statuettes were born. The current lineup consists of Michael Gross (vocals, guitar), Jimmy Kelly (guitar), Ben Johnson (bass), and Andy Patterson (drums)
The band has independently released three E.P.’s “Dust & Daylight” (2009), “Impulse & Exports” (2010) and “Imaginary Signs” (2011). Their debut, full-length album “Telepath” was released by Sonata Cantata Records (Los Angeles based label started by Jon Siebels of Eve 6) in the summer of 2010. The band is currently working on their second full length album. Look for the band in a city near you.
