Hi. We have been rehearsing songs with a new drummer. He’s a cool dude. We hope to start playing live shows with him soon. It’s just the right thing to do. Remember a little while ago when we recorded a couple of brand new songs? Well, that’s still happening. Our friend Jon Siebels of Eve 6 is just helping us re-work them a bit. if you can hold your horses long enough, we will release them. Most likely this summer. They will be worth the wait trust me. I wouldn’t lie to you girl. Stay tuned for stuff.
Yo. We finished recording 2 brand new songs for your listening enjoyment. They are being mixed as we speak, so we hope to release them soon. Hold on to your hats. We are also in the process of getting a new drummer ready for shows, so we can start playing live again. It’s been a few months, and we are anxious to get back at it. This time we are putting a Nu Metal spin on things. Hope you don’t mind. See ya!
Hey everyone, a little bit late this month on the band update. We apologize. We have been working on a couple of new tunes for you, that we hope to release this spring. We will probably make them free for you since we know you don’t want to actually pay for anything. Regardless, these songs are both really cool (in our humble opinion) and we are looking forward to releaseing them to you. Keep the faith.
Hey kids, what’s new? Hopefully you’re surviving the winter blues (if you live in a cold weather enviornment like us). Last month we were asked to record a rock and roll version of the Bobby Darin classic “Beyond The Sea” for potential use in a commercial. We did it, and this was the result: http://soundcloud.com/michaelgrossmusic/beyond-the-sea-michael-gross
It’s available for free download, so have at it. In addition to this, we have a couple new song ideas we are going to begin working on and hopefully record very soon. We are also looking forward to playing some live shows again once we get a drummer situation worked out. Stay tuned for more updates. Over and out!
Happy New Year everybody! Hope your holidays were wonderful and all of that stuff. What did we do over the holidays? We filmed a live DVD of us performing Sunset Beach in it’s entirety. For those of you on our email list, we will be sending you a link to where you can view us playing one of the songs. Let’s call it a New Year’s gift. We hope to release the DVD in the coming months. Speaking of gifts, for a limited time you can download our song “New Year” for FREE at: http://michaelgross.bandcamp.com/album/imaginary-signs-ep See what we bring to this relationship? Lots-o-stuff. Thanks for sticking with us, and here’s looking to 2013!
Hey everybody, Happy Holidays! We hope you are doing well. It’s been a good year for the band, and we have a lot to be grateful for. We released our second full length album “Sunset Beach” of course, we obtained a music licensing deal with a great little company in Los Angeles which got us some nice placements in some tv shows, and we played some really fun live shows.
We really want to thank you for your support this past year, and as a token of our appreciation, we wanted to give those on our email list a new and exclusive Christmas song recorded by us titled “Christmas Time”. We like to give out exclusive goodies from time to time to our email list subscribers, so it is in your best interest to be a part of this. Just sign up in the box on the right side of the web page.
As far as this month goes, we are talking about possibly filming a live performance DVD from an intimate location. We are still working out the details, but stay tuned for more information on that. It will most likely go down this month. A Christmas miracle!
In closing, we just want to say thank you again for your support, and we hope you will continue to spread the word about our band. Remember that you can purchase all of our music, and even download some for free from our web page. Happy Holidays, and have a Happy New Year!
Hi everyone. Welcome to November, the most magical month of them all. If you haven’t heard, we recently made a music video directed by our friend and sometimes drummer Matt Glass for the song “Black is Black” off of our Senset Beach album. You can view it in a couple of places. For the HD version, go here: http://vimeo.com/52143819 . For the less impressive YouTube version, go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCZtL5gXiYo . In addition to this madness, we will be performing in Ogden, Utah this month at Brewski’s with local favorites King Niko. You can check them out here: http://kingniko.com/band/ . Sure to be a good time. Last but not least, we have been getting some more of our songs placed in the TV world lately, with the latest one being on The League on the FX Network. We will try and keep you updated on any more song placements as they come our way. Hope you all have a good month, and keep checking back for new show dates. Do it!
Hey all. We will be participating in the National College Radio festivities on Tuesday, October 2nd with a free show at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Check our “shows” for details. College radio is one of the last forms of FM radio that supports the independent and/or up and coming artist. They deserve your support. Find out if there is a college radio station near you, and pledge your support in whatever way possible. Unless of course you enjoy hearing Gotye on the radio 5,000 times per day. Also…look for our song “Waiting For Nothing” in an upcoming episode of The League on the FX Network. Have a safe October, and stay tuned for upcoming shows and events.
Hey everyone. Happy September! Some cool things to report to you. First of all, thank you to all of those who came out to our shows last month, and to those who have purchased our new album Sunset Beach so far. Your support is appreciated and needed. Some of you may have heard that we were working on a cover of “6 Underground” by Sneaker Pimps, and you have heard right. The song is finished and available for download at www.michaelgross.bandcamp.com . Give it a listen and see what you think. A couple of new show opportunities have come up in early October, so keep your eye on our “shows” section to see where we will be. Lastly, if you haven’t had the chance to read the article that LA Weekly wrote about us a couple of weeks ago, you can read it here: http://blogs.laweekly.com/westcoastsound/2012/08/michael_gross_statuettes_silver_lake_lounge.php
Thank you for your continued support, and have a great September.
